so... on the 6th nov, after school, saw me kiasu-ly going to the train station 45 minutes early. due to the many delays happening further south of hampshire, shitloads of trains got delayed >:(
my train fortunately (and so i thought), only came a few minutes late
however, it got delayed even longer at oxford and i ended up reaching birmingham (my transit) half an hour late!!!!
i was supposed to arrive into birmingham at 8.30PM and catch my next connecting train to nottingham at 8.49PM but guess who arrived at 8.54PM instead? yup, me. and guess what time was the next train to nottingham? 10.03PM.
so in my 1 hour, i spent close to half an hour trying to find the toilets and ended up paying 30p (S$0.60) for it. the next 20 minutes, saw me hopping in and out of shops trying to find something worth buying and i ended up with chocolate mentos which just tasted like toffee
and i finally hopped on the 10.03PM train and arrived into nottingham at 11.30PM. took a cab down to their dorms and WE FINALLY REUNITED.
first night saw me bunking in with yi hui and we ended up sleeping at 4am
on the 7th, we went down to the student union for lunch and went into the city centre
went to the major shops that winchester did not have to offer :-( H&M etc
in the night... saw us visiting 'the point' it's like the club la but on campus. so it's like a 2 minutes walk from their block and it was a FREEZING COLD WALK.
on the 8th,
i went to look for fan yue as she was studying in nottingham as well! my secondary 2 classmate if that's what you're wondering
yi hui and i went into the city to have lunch and waited for jenna to knock off work. had noodles and chicken at a noodle bar. best asian food i have ever had since i stepped foot into uk and it's only £5 (S$10)!!! considered cheap already
yums. real spicy food after ages.
gave jenna her birthday present!! here's me falling asleep to her sniffing my hair
in the night... saw us partying with fan yue hahaha
honestly i'd say this is one of the best clubs i've been to in the uk. not that i've been to tons but just 4 here. though nothing beats zouk, this was pretty alright.
however the thing about clubs in the uk is, people basically bring their drinks EVERYWHERE with them. and mostly, people just drink beer or cider. when they are done, they just throw the cups or bottles on the floor. i'm not ashamed to say, even i do it haha. am i going to look for a bin just specially for it? nope hahaha. so back to the topic, when all the trash ends up on the floor, it gets coated. and after a while it gets super slippery and the next stage was extreme stickiness. i legitimately almost had my feet stuck to the floor.
at one point of time, saw jenna and me hopping around to find a non-stick spot on the dance floor.
only managed to get back at like 4.45 in the morning...... had to wake up at 7ish to catch my 8.50am bus back to winchester. a 3 hours ride to london victoria and a 2 hour ride to winchester T-T being exhausted was an understatement.
and yeah, albeit a short post but it's better than none!
