thinking

few things on my mind currently:

  • a pet peeve that i am used to experience has turned into something more than just a pet peeve. it has turned into annoyance directed at the person who caused it
  • once at a restaurant, i overheard a conversation between this man and his daughter. the girl, pretty obviously, has some psychological illness. not that i was eavesdropping but she was talking really loudly. so, from what i heard, she was going to be visiting the shrink after that meal and that she has more than one shrink that she visits. then she said to her dad, "you will never find out what is wrong with me because i will not tell all my secrets to one person. i will tell bit by bit to different people so no one will figure me out" the sentences she said struck me and made me think. i can't trust anyone and even so not entirely. so what she says really has a point.
  • the incident, which has long been etched in my mind since it has happened 3 months ago. seems impossible to forget about it and it is always floating around the back of my mind.
  • how when i was on the ambulance all I could think was, "oh my god, I'm alive?"
  • how when i was alone on the hospital bed for a few hours and all i could think was, "why can't i move my leg? will i be able to walk? how am i going to go back to work? holy shit i am going to be sent home."
  • i can still vividly remember my last day at work. 17 july ya. i was working with donald and it was one of my longest shifts ever. i was happy to be working with my fav duck and also to be clocking in lotsa $ because of overtime. i remember running around with donald and poking fun at pocahontas while she was taking pictures with guests. and poking babies in their tummies when they are asleep in their prams. my favorite past time for sure when there is nothing to do.
  • crying is a tell-tale sign of weakness. after participating in the few day long cry fest incl the times i sobbed after the leaving the hospital and while recuperating, i have decided that nothing could be worse than that fortnight and i will never be caught sobbing again. may i mention that crying is really exhausting and scares people around you.
